2. A/LA ENGINES: |
340, 360, 402 CRATE, 408 MAGNUM CRATE, MOPAR 440 SUPER COMMANDO CRATE • Headers were designed to fit with the engines located to the factory specifications. If the engine is not located correctly in the chassis, the headers will not fit properly. We strongly suggest you check your engine location prior to installation. |
3. CYLINDER HEADS: | INDY-360-1, INDY-360-2, W2 RACE HEADS P4532693, MOPAR PERFORMANCE W2 CAST IRON RACE HEADS 5249769
(!) Your cylinder head center bolt hole pattern spread must measure 4-3/4″ from the center of the left bolt hole to the center of the right bolt hole for these headers to fit. Click here for measurement illustration. |
4. SPARK PLUGS: | STRAIGHT or ANGLED
• Headers designed with adequate plug clearance for angled plugs |
5. FRONT SUSPENSION: | OEM or EQUIVALENT with torsion bars
COILOVER without torsion bars: The following coilover systems have been fit-checked with these headers and found there to be no clearance issues… RMS Alterktion, Magnumforce Tubular, Magnumforce Modular Transformer, Control Freak • Steering Linkage: OEM with torsion bars or Rack & Pinion without torsion bars. • 67-76 A-bodies Only / Steering: This header will not clear a Quick/Fast Ratio Pitman & Idler arm that is longer than the OEM arms. Example; The Fast Ratio Pitman & Idler arms by Firm Feel, Inc. are 3/4″ longer then stock. DIY clearance can be achieved by dimpling the header tube(s), however, doing this modification will void your header and coating warranty. (This note pertains to 67-76 A-bodies only. Headers will fit B & E body applications with Quick/Fast Ratio arms.) • Headers will not clear UniSteer Performance Rack and Pinion. |
6. ENGINE MOUNTS: |
OEM • Headers fit with Schumacher Creative Services engine mounts or equivalent. |
7. AUTO TRANS: |
YES • Floor Shift: Some applications may require the adjustable swivel & the lower rod to be re-positioned to clear the header collector. See illustration sheet #3703 |
8. STANDARD TRANS: |
YES • Flywheel: Applications with an 11″ flywheel, 143-tooth ring gear must use a RobbMc Performance starter #3005. • Clutch Linkage: OEM (!) 67-76 A-body applications may require a modified Z-bar. [Modified Z-bar sold separately #ZB340] • Keisler Tremec TKO-500/600 Transmission: Correct installation is imperative. The output-end of the tail shaft must be in exactly the same position as the stock transmission output shaft for the headers to fit properly. |
9. FLOOR SHIFT: |

10. COLUMN SHIFT: | A-BODY applications: (!) NO, will not clear column shift.
B, E, F & M-BODY: YES • 71-74 B-body & 70-74 E-body applications may require a modified Torque Shaft Assembly. Sold separately #B7174TSA |
